Editor's review
CompactCalc is an enhanced scientific calculator for Windows with an expression editor. It embodies generic floating-point routines, hyperbolic and transcendental routines.
Features: CompactCalc is an enhanced scientific calculator for Windows. It has an expression editor that you can use to set up the expression to be evaluated. It gives you floating-point routines, hyperbolic and transcendental routines. The implementation takes care of the precision and the multi functionality and is quite robust. The calculator interface is like a calculator. The numeric keys are on the right. You have the function keys laid out well. The settings radio buttons let you set up radians, degrees etc. There are text boxes for setting up an expression, variable value and result value.
The calculator lets you do scientific calculations and unlimited expression length. Use parenthesis and unlimited nesting of expressions. You can build linear, polynomial and nonlinear equation set. You are not limited by the size or the complexity of your mathematical expressions. Display of up to 24 digits of result takes care of the accuracy of results in floating point formats results. Calculations can range from 2.22 E +308 to 1.79 E -308. The mathematical calculations can be entered via the keyboard or the buttons on the calculator. The utility contains hundreds of constants built-in. These are both physical as well as mathematical constants.
Overall: Quite a handy scientific calculator that is easy to use.
